Slow Jazz... I have to say I am pretty partial to Kenny G's style along with several others.
I, also, like vocal artists that sing to the moody Jazz type music.
I like Rod Stewart, Michael Bolton and Barbra Streisand to name a few favorite singers.

Hi,
My name is Cathy aka as akatkando (with various extensions behind that name!). I was born in Orange County in Southern CA in 1943 and have lived most of my life in CA.
As a small child I lived in OR on several occasions for periods of less than a year. In 1974, my husband, son and I moved to MO where I bought out my sister's business partner and became the co-owner of a pet supply and dog grooming business. I went on to buy my sister out and became sole owner. I groomed dogs there from 1974 through 1985.
Prior to moving to MO, I worked at Sears from 1961 until 1974. When I left Sears I was the Assistant Audit Supervisor and Head Timekeeper, I was next in line for the next new store to be built and would become the Audit Supervisor for that store.
When I returned to CA from MO, I continued to groom dogs full-time at a boarding facility about two miles from my parents home. I moved in with my parents when I left MO as my Father was terminally ill with lung cancer. He passed away two-and-one-half months after my return. I went on to stay with my Mom so she wouldn't have to be alone.
The end of 1987 I went to work in the office for an Agent for Allied Van Lines. I eventually became Office Manager for the business. I continued to groom dogs part-time on Saturdays and Sundays from 1987 through maybe 1995, I don't remember for sure!
I had a hard time giving up the dog grooming due to my deep love for animals. If it hadn't been for the fact that the establishment sold the property for housing development, I would have continued to groom.
My body was starting to scream a lot from standing on the concrete floors and lifting and wrestling so many heavy dogs over the years. I was having bad trouble with my back, hands and my hips were starting to bother me, too!
As time went on my hips continued to deteriorate until I could barely make it from the house to the car to drive to work. I would have other people bring files, etc. for me to work on as it was so hard for me to get up to get to the filing cabinets. That went on for several years, getting worse-and-worse as time went on. I was lucky I worked with people that were willing to help me!
I had my right hip replacement done 11-13-2001 and my left one done on 1-13-2003. The waiting list was exceptionally long for the surgery.
Having the terrible bone-on-bone pain gone was a God-send! I had a year were I was able to get out a little bit, but still my walking was compromised by the deterioration in my spine. I have been pretty much house bound for the last 5+ years. About the only time I get out is when I have to go to the doctor's.
My girlfriend took me to the mall after Christmas and we used one of the wheelchairs that they provide at the mall and she pushed me from one end to the other... that was a real treat as I hadn't been to the mall since 2001!
One day when she went shopping for me, I went along and waited in the car and we stopped at Marie Callendar for an early dinner. I had not been out to eat since 2005, when I went to her retirement dinner, from the moving company where we both worked, when she moved to SC for several years.
Now she is back in the area, thank heavens, I don't know what I would do with out her. She has been staying with me since November 2008 and it has been nice to have someone around to talk to once in a while. It was really lonesome around here after my Mom passed away in August 2006.
That is pretty much my life in a nutshell. I just keep on keepin' on!!!
